The Story

Juliet and Gus

A kind of magic happens when mini-lights and plastic cups get made into a sparkleball.  The inventor of sparkleballs is unknown, but this simple American folk craft has spread around the world.  Nobody owns the rights.  Anyone can make one.

I bought my first sparkleball outside Tyler, Texas from a man selling them on the side of the road. From then on,  it just wasn’t Christmas at our house if the sparkleball wasn’t up. That’s why it’s not surprising my children are the inspiration behind the Make-A-Sparkleball Kit.  Juliet and Gus believed their mom should take all her sparkleball know-how and create a simple kit to sell online, and here I am.     –  Alex Finlayson, San Diego

  1. My daughter loves her sparkle ball in the corner of her room like a unique chandelier above her bed! Thanks for brightening her life. ❤️
